Our state-of-the-art, multi-specialty facility, located just across the street from Washington Hospital, has been offering patients advanced surgical services in a convenient and comfortable setting since 1986. With services that range from gynecology to urology and much more, the WOSC team is known for the safest and highest quality of surgical care possible. Following are photos of some of the team at work.
The mission of Washington Outpatient Surgery Center is to provide the safest and highest quality of surgical care possible for patients in an ambulatory surgery center setting.
This is achieved by employing a philosophy that enables staff and physicians to best serve the needs of our patients and their families. The patient’s dignity and rights are respected at all times.
These and all the members of our front-desk team have a welcoming smile for our patients.
As patients await their registration, they can relax in our cozy and inviting waiting area located in the front lobby.
As you step out of the elevator, you'll be greeted by the radiant garden lobby, basking in the sunlight, before entering our Endoscopy Department on the 2nd floor.
Members of our endoscopy staff pause for a photo. Endoscopy procedures at WOSC allow doctors to view the inside of a patient’s body in order to diagnose and treat a condition or disease.
Back in the operating rooms, surgeons ready for procedures. Here, William Dugoni, MD, general surgeon at Washington Hospital and Washington Township Medical Foundation, scrubs in prior to surgery. The Washington Outpatient Surgery Center is a Medicare-certified ambulatory surgical facility, and has achieved accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. This distinguishes our surgical center from many other outpatient surgical facilities, and is recognition of a safe work environment that provides the highest quality of care to patients.
The center features five state-of-the-art operating rooms and a state-of-the-art endoscopy center. The center is designed to provide surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which are appropriate to a Medicare-certified ambulatory surgical facility.
In this operating room, Kranthi Achanta, MD, general surgeon, leads a recent procedure.
Pictured are some of the members of our operating room staff. Surgical procedures at WOSC include ear, nose and throat; gastroenterology; general surgery; gynecology; ophthalmology; orthopedics; pain management; plastic surgery; podiatry; urology and more.
The Washington Outpatient Surgery Center continually invests in the latest surgical and diagnostic technology, and has been a pioneer in performing complex surgical procedures in the outpatient setting.
After a surgery, members of our Post-Anesthesia/Overnight Recovery group safely help patients recover from anesthesia and prepare for discharge. Most patients at the Washington Outpatient Surgery Center will be returning to the comfort of their homes on the same day as their procedure.
Our overnight recovery is for patients who have procedures requiring additional nursing care. Overnight patients can continue their recovery in a quiet, comfortable and private setting, and under the direct supervision of registered nurses.
“When your physician chooses or recommends the Washington Outpatient Surgery Center, you’re in the hands of a great team,” said Trevin Hunt, RN, MBA, Administrator and Director of Nursing at WOSC.
“Everyone on our staff believes patients deserve the absolute best, and that’s why we deliver the highest level of care possible.”
